Got up in the Wrong Side of the Bed?

Sometimes, before we go to bed in the night, we think of the day we’ve had. This usually happens only if we have had an extremely happy or an extremely bad day. If it was extremely happy day, all’s well and we hope for the next day to be the same.

However, if the day was bad, we curse everything that comes in sight. Right from the time we got up in the morning, who/what we laid eyes on first thing in the morning to the poor cat for all it did was cross the road.

It’s ironic that when the day is good, the happiness lasts for a while and we get all geared up for the next day, but when the day is bad, the grumpiness lasts longer and we have a constant felling that something bad is going to happen till the minute we go to bed.

There was this day when everything I did seemed to go wrong. I was so pissed and upset I thought I would browse awhile before I went to bed. And what do I find? The net is down! These are the times when I believe that the Almighty has the last word. :P

I have learned to look at the positives in the negatives, but that doesn’t work sometimes. Which is why I have my backup. ;)

There is a song by Daniel Powter called Bad Day. I bet a lot of you would have heard it. The real fun is to hear its Alvin and the Chipmunks version. It really lightens you up. There is nothing more fun than hearing the song in a chipmunk’s voice.

The lyrics go something like this..

Where is the moment we needed the most?

You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

They tell me your blue skies fade to grey

They tell me your passion's gone away

And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low

You're faking a smile with the coffee to go

You tell me your life's been way off line

You're falling to pieces every time

And I don't need no carryin' on

'Cause you had a bad day, you're taking one down

You sing a sad song just to turn it around

You say you don't know, you tell me don't lie

You work on a smile and you go for a ride

You had a bad day, the camera don't lie

You're coming back down and you really don't mind

You had a bad day

You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday

The point is they laugh at what you say

And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day, you're taking one down

You sing a sad song just to turn it around

You say you don't know, you tell me don't lie

You work on a smile and you go for a ride

You had a bad day, the camera don't lie

You're coming back down and you really don't mind

You had a bad day

Mmm, a holiday

Sometimes the system goes on the blink

And the whole thing it turns out wrong

You might not make it back and you know

That you could be well oh that strong

And I'm not wrong

So where was the passion when you need it the most?

Oh you and I

You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

'Cause you had a bad day, you're taking one down

You sing a sad song just to turn it around

You say you don't know, you tell me don't lie

You work on a smile and you go for a ride

You had a bad day, you see what you're like

And how does it feel for one more time?

You had a bad day

You had a bad day

So here’s the answer to my bad day. :)
